PROGRAM
Day 1
Start in an idyllic mountain village
This tour starts in the authentic Pontresina in Switzerland. Tonight, you’ll stay at the stately Grand Hotel Kronenhof. This historic 5* Superior hotel, established in 1848, is one of the most architecturally significant alpine hotels from the 19th century. The stylish and elegant rooms and suites exude historical grandeur, combined with modern comfort. Enjoy the view of the glacier or take a trip to the chic resort of Sankt Moritz.
Check-in is available from 3:00 PM.
You will enjoy dinner in the hotel in the evening, along with the other participants.
Day 2
Via Stelvio to Interalpen
Today, you leave Pontresina and head towards one of the most famous mountain passes in Europe, thanks to the ‘Top Gear’ program: the Stelvio. Along the way, you’ll enjoy driving on the Bernina Pass, the Forcola Pass, Livigno, and the Umbrail Pass. Be sure to stop on time to take in the unforgettable views.
Later in the afternoon, you head towards Telfs in Tyrol, where you’ll stay for the next two nights at one of the best hotels in Europe: Hotel Interalpen.
Day 3
Seefeld in Tirol
You can spend this day as you wish. Explore all the facilities of Hotel Interalpen, such as the 5000 m² wellness area, or discover more mountain passes like the Timmelsjoch, Kaunertal, or Hanntenjoch.
In case of bad weather, there is the option to visit the Swarovski Museum, for example.
Day 4
Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse – Lienz
Today, it’s time to leave Interalpen and head towards Lienz. The reason for this journey is to ride one of the Austrian classics: the Grossglockner High Alpine Road.
This road is considered one of the most beautiful scenic routes in the world. In fact, it is one of the three most popular destinations for a trip in all of Austria! For nearly 48 kilometers, this predominantly high-alpine route winds its way through the mountainous landscape, with hairpin bend after hairpin bend, leading to the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Up to the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe., on the Grossglockner, the highest mountain in Austria, with the Pasterzen Glacier, the largest remaining glacier in the Eastern Alps. The panorama of majestic mountain peaks, glaciers, green valleys, and forests will undoubtedly leave you speechless!
Tonight, you’ll stay at the Grandhotel Lienz, one of the best 5-star hotels in Austria.
Day 5
Dolomites at their best.
The time has come to explore the Dolomites. Today, you’ll cross through the heart of this UNESCO World Heritage site. From Tre Cime to Cortina d’Ampezzo, passing one pass after another, you’ll head towards our new hotel for the next two nights: Lefay Resort Dolomiti. This is going to be a tour to remember.
The Lefay hotel is a testament to world-class luxury and offers everything to pamper you. The architecture is very modern and constructed with high-quality materials. The view is equally impressive, matching the stunning sights you’re already accustomed to.
Day 6
Madonna di Campiglo
You can spend this day however you wish. Explore all the facilities at the Lefay Resort, such as the very spacious wellness center. Treat yourself to some relaxation before returning home. Or take the opportunity to get to know this side of the Dolomites better. In the immediate vicinity is Madonna di Campiglio, a very famous ski resort.
Day 7
An interesting stop on the way back.
The official program ends today, but RUFIE will offer those interested the opportunity to have an overnight stay on the way back.
The same applies to the outbound journey. If you don’t want to drive more than 900 km in one day, RUFIE will find a stopover to make your trip more comfortable.
